As well as a summary of your teaching activities, use this section of your profile to record information about any research degree supervision you have undertaken and summarise the areas in which you are interested in supervising PGR projects. Information entered into this section appears in the ‘Teaching and supervision’ tab on your public profile.
The supervision activities can be either within the University of Sussex or at a previous institution, but, please consider whether the information shared represents your current interests and focus.
Example profile

Note. Unless you have permission, do not provide details of current or past postgraduate researchers and their specific thesis title; to do so risks GDPR non-compliance. It is OK to refer to the broad areas of research you supervise in.
1. Login to your Elements profile
2. From your Elements homepage, select the option Edit my profile
3. Scroll down to the content box labelled Teaching summary. Information entered in this section will display in the Teaching and Supervision tab on your profile.
4. Enter information in the box; keep information clear and brief and consider utilising bullet points and other available formatting eg. Use headers to differentiate between the information about teaching and PGR supervision- see example profile above. Note: Unless you have permission, do not provide details of postgraduate researchers and their exact thesis titles; to do so risks GDPR non-compliance.
5. Scroll down to the end of the section and select the Save button. Your edits will appear on your profile page.
1. From your Elements homepage, select +ADD NEW under Teaching & Supervision.
2. Select the Research-based degree supervision activity type.
3. Use the fields and the drop-down menu options to include information about the activity. Remember to include the date. Note: Unless you have permission, do not give the details of current or past postgraduate researchers; to do so risks GDPR non-compliance
4. Save the activity.
5. If appropriate, use Relationships to create links between this activity and other Elements objects eg. grants or record of impact.
