Library Viewing Room

The Viewing Room is located on the ground floor of the library behind the Info Hub.

It can be booked for academic use by students or staff, at the Info Hub desk.

The room contains a large screen, which is equipped to display Region 2 DVDs. It has seating for 15 people, but can hold up to 25. 

DVD and cassette players

CD machineThere are a number of ways of viewing DVDs in the library:

  • Library PCs play multi-region, region 1 and region 2 DVDs
  • Library Macs play region 2 DVDs
  • 7 group study rooms with PCs and 50" plasma screens. They do not have speakers, but can be used with headphones

Equipment available from IT

The IT service desk, located in Shawcross, offer the following equipment to borrow:

  • data/video projectors
  • digital video camcorders (mini-DVD tape or tapeless) and tripods
  • Mac VGA adapters (various)
