Support for undergraduate and masters students

We offer one-to-one support sessions tailored to your research needs. 

These sessions can help with:

  • Improving your search skills

  • Locating full-text journal articles

  • Finding high quality information for your subject area

  • Exploring tools for keeping up to date with research in your field

  • Searching the Library's online databases effectively

If you are unable to join a remote 1-2-1 there are a number of resources available to support you in your research and studies - see the links below. 

Support for educators

If you are a lecturer or tutor seeking dedicated library support for decolonising your teaching materials or reading lists, we can offer one to one appointments or small group sessions to guide you on how to find relevant resources and develop academic skills and critical information literacy activities for your students. Please email library.training@sussex.ac.uk with your request.

Support for researchers

The Research Support team offer one to one or small group sessions for research postgraduates or academics who would like to know how the resources available through the library can support their research.

The sessions are tailored to suit your own specific needs and can include: a guide to discovering and exploiting the best resources for your research area; a session to update you on what new resources are available; support with gaining access to external resources and facilities.
