Theses and dissertation: Finding a Sussex thesis

University of Sussex Theses Collection

Sussex Theses Collection

What does the collection contain?

The Library holds in print all doctoral theses written by Sussex research students submitted before October 2009. You can use Library Search to search for these.

Can I borrow a thesis and take it out of the library?

All theses are reference-only and can only be read in the library.

How do I request a thesis?

To request a thesis, please sign-in to Library Search and click the blue Request option on the Locations tab. Collections are at 11am and 3pm daily.

Can I view a digitized version rather than a reference-only copy?

Many Sussex theses are also now available online via EThOS to download immediately, and this is indicated on Library Search. All doctoral theses submitted after October 2009 are available electronically through Sussex Research Online (SRO).
