St. David's Day

Banner celebrating Saint David's Day. The center features a circular emblem with the Welsh red dragon holding a daffodil and a leek, iconic symbols of Wales, set against a green background. The text 'Dydd Gŵyl Dewi' is displayed on the left and 'Saint David's Day' on the right in bold white font, framing the central illustration.

St. David's Day, celebrated annually on March 1st, honors St. David, the patron saint of Wales. A 6th-century monk and preacher, St. David is remembered for his piety, humility, and miracles. The day is a vibrant celebration of Welsh heritage, marked by parades, traditional music, and the wearing of daffodils or leeks—national symbols of Wales. It’s a time for communities to come together to celebrate Welsh culture, language, and identity, keeping alive the legacy of their beloved saint.
