Katherine Mansfield (1888–1923) was a pioneering modernist writer from New Zealand, celebrated for her innovative and emotive short stories. Her works, such as The Garden Party and Bliss, capture the complexity of human emotions and relationships with subtlety and precision. Mansfield's lyrical prose and keen observational skills made her a master of the short story form, influencing writers like Virginia Woolf.
